Day 1: City of origin – Sao Vicente (Mindelo)
Arrival at Sao Pedro airport on the island of Sao Vicente. Pick up and assistance by our local guide and transfer to the hotel in the center of Mindelo. Rest of the day at leisure to discover the capital of the island. Mindelo is the cultural and intellectual capital of Cape Verde and the Windward Islands. A colonial-style city where we can contemplate the architecture of the nineteenth century, its terraces at street level and its permanent markets. We can also visit many museums and listen to the best live music in the country. We recommend visiting the Museum of Cape Verdean pictorial art and African tribal art AKUBA, located in the Palaço do Povo. A beautiful pink colonial building that was formerly the residence of the governor of the Portuguese colony. Lodging. (-/-/-)

Day 2: Mindelo – Porto Novo – Tarrafal
Breakfast at the hotel. In the morning transfer to the port of Mindelo to take the ferry to the neighboring island of Santo Antao. Undoubtedly one of the most spectacular places in the world. The island of Santo Antao contains dramatic landscapes of indescribable beauty. A terrain between volcanic and tropical that favors areas with impressive valleys. We will find canyons with water flowing all year round, banana, papaya and mango plantations and other landscapes with long jagged walls and deep ravines.
Arrival in Porto Novo and transfer to Tarrafal on an unpaved road. The entrance to the village could not be more impressive, as a large black sand beach opens up before us. Meanwhile, at the other end, the small village of Tarrafal do Monte Trigo appears. Dinner and overnight in guesthouse. (D/-/C)

Day 3. Tarrafal do Monte Trigo
Breakfast. Free day in Tarrafal. We recommend a hike to the neighboring village of Monte Trigo. An 11km trail along the coast with constant small ups and downs on the southern slopes of the Topo Coroa volcano. After a few hours, we will reach the tiny fishing village of Monte Trigo, the most remote place of all the Windward Islands. We will return to Tarrafal by boat with one of the local fishermen. Day 4. Tarrafal do Monte Trigo
Breakfast. Free day in Tarrafal. We recommend going fishing with a local guide, a very popular activity in the area that allows you to catch your own dinner. The Cape Verde Creole will allow us to enjoy a fresh tuna or a good lobster (when in season). We will also dive with a certified diving center located in the same town, as Tarrafal is one of the best dive spots in the country.

Day 5. Tarrafal do Monte Trigo
Breakfast. Today is a day to relax on the beach or to take a leisurely stroll through the village and the farming area just behind the village. In the afternoon we can contact Projeto Bitó, the local organization that cares for and protects the turtles on Tarrafal beach. We will be able to observe how they work and what they do for the environment and the ecosystem of the island and the ocean. Dinner and overnight in guesthouse. (D/-/C)

Day 6. Tarrafal do Monte Trigo – Porto Novo – Mindelo – Sao Pedro
Breakfast in guest house. In the morning transfer back to Porto Novo to take the ferry back to Mindelo. Arrival in Mindelo and visit to the Ribiera Bote neighborhood to see the social tourism project that the local community has promoted. It is about getting to know first hand the reality of a humble community from a social perspective. We will walk through the neighborhood with a young local guide, a neighbor of the neighborhood, and we will discover different stores and services. We will finish
having a coffee in one of the houses of the neighborhood. It is not about knowing the poverty but to see in-situ the reality and potential of a non-touristy neighborhood of Mindelo.
Transfer to accommodation in the village of Sao Pedro, on the west coast of the island and with one of the best sunsets in the whole country. Sao Pedro is a small fishing village where tourism is almost non-existent, the streets are unpaved and where a large beach of almost 1 kilometer is always present. Accommodation in a small eco-hotel. Day 7. Sao Pedro
Breakfast. Free day in Sao Pedro to enjoy the beach and the tranquility of this place, the authentic Cape Verde Creole.
Optionally we can explore the island of Sao Vicente in a 4×4 vehicle and private guide. We will visit Monte Verde, a fantastic viewpoint of the whole island and the neighboring Santo Antao. From there, we will descend to Bahia das Gatas, Bahia do Norte, and Praia Larga, three spectacular and very different places. We will stop in Calhau for a picnic lunch near the sea and finish the day at the wild Sandy Beach. Transfer back to Sao Pedro and rest of the day at leisure. Overnight stay. (D/-/-)

Day 8. Sao Pedro – Spain
Breakfast. At scheduled time transfer to the airport to take flight back to Spain.
