Day 1: City of origin – Sao Vicente (Mindelo) SÃO PEDRO LIGHTHOUSE WALK
Arrival at Sao Pedro airport on the island of Sao Vicente. Visa formalities, pick up and transfer to the hotel in the center of Mindelo.
Meeting with the guide and transfer to the village of Sao Pedro for a first gentle walk to the Lighthouse of Sao Pedro, where we can contemplate and enjoy a breathtaking sunset. It will be our welcome to the country. Return to Mindelo. Accommodation
Mindelo is the cultural and intellectual capital of Cape Verde and the Windward Islands. A colonial-style city where we can contemplate the architecture of the nineteenth century while sipping a coffee among the many terraces or stroll through one of its permanent markets. We can also visit many museums and listen to the best live music in the country.

Day 2: Mindelo – Porto Novo – Ponta do Sol. TREKKING COVA – PAUL.
Breakfast at the hotel. Early in the morning transfer to the port of Mindelo to take the ferry to the neighboring island of Santo Antao. Undoubtedly one of the most spectacular places in this corner of the world. The island of Santo Antao contains dramatic landscapes of indescribable beauty. A terrain between volcanic and tropical that favors areas with impressive valleys. We will find canyons with water circulating throughout the year, banana plantations and other landscapes with long jagged walls and deep ravines.
Arrival at Porto Novo and transfer to Cova, an ancient volcanic crater of more than 1 km in diameter, now used for cultivation. From this point, we will start a spectacular descent through the Paul Valley. The greenest valley in Cape Verde, it is surrounded by imposing steep rocks and a bay of coconut trees. On old mule trails, we will walk through impressive tropical vegetation such as sugar cane, mango and dragon trees. Finally we will see a grogue distillery. Picnic included. Return to Ponta do Sol and rest of the day at leisure. Overnight at the lodge.

Day 3. Ponta do Sol. TREKKING CRUZINHA – FONTAINHAS – PONTA DO SOL
Breakfast. In the morning transfer to Cruzinhas for perhaps the most spectacular hike on the island. With the help of the local guide we will walk the path that separates the fishing enclave of Cruzinha with the village of Ponta do Sol. The hike runs along the cliffs of the west coast of the island in a winding path of gentle ups and downs. The trail passes through the villages of Formiginhas, Corvo and Fontainhas, in a contrast of landscapes ranging from the blue of the sea, to the green of the sugar cane crops, passing through endless browns and grays of the ever-present volcanic rock. Picnic lunch included. Free afternoon in Ponta do Sol. Lodging in pension.

Day 4. Ponta do Sol. TREKKING PINHAO – LOMBO BRANCO – SYNAGOGUE
Breakfast at the guesthouse. Morning meeting with the guide and transfer to the small and diffuse village of Pinhao, starting point of our trekking. A wonderful undulating walk through fertile valleys and low mountain ranges, but never far from the coast. The scenery is enhanced by contact with the locals encountered along the way.

The walk ends at the interesting spot used by the historically exiled Portuguese Jews who founded a Synagogue there. The village also offers one of the best black sand beaches on the island. Picnic included. Return to Ponta do Sol and free afternoon.

Day 5. Ponta do Sol – Tarrafal do Monte Trigo. TOPO COROA TREKKING
Breakfast. Early meeting with the guide and transfer to the southern tip of the island. A much more arid and less eroded area, where we will be able to contemplate a 100% volcanic landscape. This will be the day to conquer the highest peak of Santo Antao, Topo de Coroa (1,979m). First, we will set off towards the foot of the mountain passing through a sparsely populated desert landscape where only goats nibble the few grasses present. The ascent is made by the northern slope and in a very direct way. Once we reach the top, the Selada do Norte plateau opens up to an impressive crater landscape. Weather permitting, we will enjoy an unforgettable panoramic view of the entire island. Final transfer to Tarrafal by an unpaved road. The arrival to the village could not be more impressive, as a large black sand beach opens up before us and at the other end, the small village of Tarrafal do Monte Trigo. Dinner and accommodation in guesthouse.

Day 6. Day 6. Tarrafal do Monte Trigo
Breakfast. Today day to relax on the beach or to take a leisurely stroll through the village and the farming area just behind the village.
OPTIONAL. Trekking between Tarrafal and Monte Trigo. An 11km trail along the coast with constant small ups and downs on the southern slopes of the Topo Coroa volcano will take you to the tiny fishing village of Monte Trigo, the most remote place of all the Windward Islands. The return to Tarrafal will be done by boat, with one of the local fishermen.
Dinner and overnight in a guesthouse.

Day 7. Tarrafal do Monte Trigo – Porto Novo – Mindelo
Breakfast in guest house. In the morning transfer back to Porto Novo to take the ferry back to Mindelo. Arrival in Mindelo and transfer to the accommodation in the city center. In the early afternoon we will visit the Ribiera Bote neighborhood to learn about the social tourism project that the local community has promoted. It is about getting to know first hand the reality and the day to day life of a humble community from a social perspective. We will walk through the neighborhood with a young local guide, a neighbor of the neighborhood and we will discover different stores, services and we will finish having a coffee in one of the houses of the neighborhood. It is not about knowing the poverty but to see in-situ the reality and potential of a non-touristy neighborhood of Mindelo.
Return to accommodation and rest of the day at leisure.

Day 8. Mindelo – City of origin

Breakfast. At the scheduled time transfer to the airport to take the flight back to Spain.
